University Degree legalization for Working Visa in China
Degree validation for China:
online legalization
Legalization of a diploma for China is required if you are going to work in China. In order for the diploma to be valid in China, it must be nostrified. In this article, I tell you how to legalize a diploma online through the official website of one of the structures related to the Ministry of Education of China in 30 days and 360 yuan.
You can do the legalization through our company, at the embassy, or you can do it yourself online on the official government website http://www.cscse.edu.cn online for 360 yuan. The review procedure takes up to 30 days.

In this article, I will show the entire process of filling out an application for the legalization of a diploma through the government website http://www.cscse.edu.cn
All you need is a lot of patience when filling out the application. Since the site is only in Chinese, you will need a help of an agency or ask for help from a friend who knows Chinese.
Step 1: Register on the website:
Step 2: Fill out an application for diploma legalization in your personal account, enter basic information about yourself:
You will need to indicate your full last name and first name in English, citizenship, gender, date of birth, select the type of document proving your identity, enter the series and number of your passport. Then indicate your mobile phone number and email, where you will receive a notification that the diploma has been legalized and where you can download it.
Step 3: Select item 1 "国境外学历学位认证" - Certification of higher education diploma obtained outside China
Step 4: Fill out an application for diploma legalization
You may need a translator here, or see the sample I prepared
Step 5: You will need to add one more formation.
The system allows you to proceed to the next step only when two educations are filled in. The first line is the education that you confirm, and the second line is your previous educational experience.
In my case, I confirmed my master's degree, and added my bachelor's diploma in my specialty in the second line.

If you have one diploma, indicate the school in the second line.
Step 6: Uploading scanned documents into the system:
1. Your recent photo, like for a passport (size no more than 1 MB)
2. Download and fill out the consent to the processing of personal data (size no more than 1 MB)
3. Upload scans of your higher education diploma (original, in the language of your country, 1st and 2nd pages, it is not necessary to upload the diploma supplement) (size no more than 5 MB)
4. Scan and attach the first page of the passport that you had during your studies.
If you changed your first name, last name, citizenship - attach supporting documents.

I had a difficulty here. The difficulty was that the system requires data from the passport that was valid at the time of study. I graduated from university in 2013, after that I changed my last name and changed my passport.
In my case, I had to attach a certificate and a notarized translation of the certificate of change of surname (i.e. a supporting document on the basis of which my surname was changed) to the application. And I made scans of my old passport, which has now been cancelled, but, fortunately, was kept at my parents' house.
If the old passport has not been preserved, then you must provide a certificate from the university stating that you actually graduated from this university.
5) Make scans of all the pages of the passport that contain visas and stamps about crossing the border during the period of study.
Important: You must upload a scan of the passport that you had in your hands during your studies (size no more than 1 MB).
See the screenshot below for an example of where to upload which documents:
In each field for uploading documents, hints are highlighted in blue, for example, how to make scans correctly, and which scans are not accepted.

Their hint says that a scan made page by page, and not a whole page of the passport, does not meet the requirements. However, I uploaded a scan of the passport page by page, and the system approved it.
Step 7: Verification of entered data. Confirmation
Step 8: Payment.
The price of diploma legalization through the Ministry of Education of China is 360 yuan. Payment is made online by bank card or via Alipay. The payment status can be tracked in your personal account on the website.
After payment, you will receive a notification to the specified email that your application is in progress. In your personal account, you can see the estimated time frame for completing the legalization of a diploma in China. The term for legalizing a diploma is 30 days.
Once ready, the electronic version of the legalized diploma is stored in your personal account "用户中心" on the website http://zwfw.cscse.edu.cn/
It is not sent to you in paper form, you print the document yourself from your personal account.
